Iran’s Pezeshkian to travel to New York for 81st UNGA — Pajhwok

KABUL (Pajhwok): Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will travel to New York, the United States, on Tuesday to attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, reports said on Monday. Iran’s IRNA news agency reported, quoting Habibullah Abbasi, director-general of public relations at the Iranian president’s office, that Pezeshkian would travel to New York to attend the 81st UN General Assembly session. The report said the United States had not issued visas to some members of the high-level Iranian delegation, including members of Pezeshkian’s media team, to attend the UN General Assembly in New York. Pezeshkian’s programme in New York includes attending and addressing the 81st UN General Assembly, holding meetings and talks with some heads of state and officials attending the assembly, meeting Iranians living in the United States, and holding discussions with US think tanks. The 81st session of the UN General Assembly opened on September 8, while the general debate will begin tomorrow (September 22) at UN Headquarters in New York and continue through September 26 and on September 28.
