Afghan, Belarusian health ministers discuss expanded health cooperation — Pajhwok

KABUL (Pajhwok): Belarusian Health Minister Alexander Khodzhayev has said his country is ready to expand cooperation with Afghanistan in medicines, medical equipment, health worker training and the exchange of professional and scientific expertise. According to a statement from the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), Mawlavi Noor Jalal Jalali, the health minister, met with Khodzhayev during his official visit to Belarus to discuss expanding healthcare cooperation between the two countries. The statement said the two sides discussed the import of medicines and medical equipment, professional training for health workers, the exchange of research information and various other health-related issues. Jalali said the MoPH was seeking to expand cooperation with different countries and benefit from their expertise, medical equipment, medicines and health services to strengthen Afghanistan’s healthcare system. Khodzhayev said Belarus was ready to expand cooperation with Afghanistan in the areas of medicines, medical equipment, health worker training and the exchange of professional and scientific expertise. The ministry said the two sides agreed to expand bilateral cooperation in healthcare, medicines and medical equipment, capacity-building for health workers, and the exchange of scientific and research information.
