3 children killed in old mortar shell explosion in Nangarhar — Pajhwok

KABUL (Pajhwok): Three children have been killed and another injured when an old mortar shell exploded in Khogyani district of eastern Nangarhar province, the provincial governor’s office said. In a statement, the governor’s office said the incident occurred on Tuesday in the Zawi area of Khogyani district. The statement said the children had found an old mortar shell and were playing with it when it exploded, killing three of them and injuring another. The injured child was taken to hospital by security forces, the statement added.
