MoI warns against misuse of licensed home protection firearms — Pajhwok

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has warned that individuals licensed to carry firearms for home protection may use them only for that purpose. In a statement published on its official X, the ministry said using such firearms for personal protection, safeguarding a shop or commercial premises, or any other purpose was a violation of the regulations in force. It said firearms would be confiscated from individuals found violating the rules, who would also face legal action in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The ministry urged all individuals covered by the regulations to comply with the rules governing firearm use and refrain from violations.
