KABUL (Pajhwok): Industrialists in Kabul have called for a regular electricity supply to factories and advance notice of power outages during a meeting with officials of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS). The power utility, in turn, urged industrialists to pay their electricity bills on time. In a post on its X account, DABS said the meeting was attended by officials from its commercial and operational departments, representatives of the Kabul Industrialists’ Union and dozens of industrialists. During the meeting, industrialists shared proposals with DABS officials on ensuring a regular power supply during working hours, providing advance notice of outages, facilitating electricity connections for newly established factories, and conducting on-site inspections and assessments of factories. According to the statement, DABS officials responded to the proposals in light of available resources and provided explanations and guidance on electricity tariffs and distribution procedures in line with the company’s policies. The utility also urged industrialists to pay their electricity bills on time in accordance with the approved tariffs. The industrialists, for their part, pledged to support the company and settle their electricity bills on time, the statement added.
