Woman allegedly kills husband in Kandahar — Pajhwok

KANDAHAR (Pajhwok): A woman allegedly stabbed her husband to death in southern Kandahar province, police said on Sunday. Kandahar Police spokesman Mullah Asadullah Jamshid told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident occurred on Saturday night in the Nazak Kotai area of Police District 12. He said the victim, a native of Farah province, had been married for about two months. According to Jamshid, preliminary investigations indicate the man was first given food laced with a sedative before being fatally stabbed. The suspect fled the scene after the incident. However, members of both families told police there had been no known disputes between the couple prior to the killing. Jamshid said the investigation was ongoing.
