KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 1,416 Afghan nationals have been released from Pakistani prisons and returned to Afghanistan this week, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) said on Thursday. In a statement, the ministry said that 1,083 individuals returned through the Torkham crossing, while 333 others entered the country via the Spin Boldak crossing. The ministry added that the individuals had been detained in Pakistan for not possessing valid legal documents. Following their release, they were registered, provided with humanitarian assistance, and transferred to their respective provinces of origin.
