MoPH launches free eye care campaign in Ghor — Pajhwok

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has launched a free eye care campaign in western Ghor province, offering 400 cataract surgeries, 1,000 reading glasses and treatment for thousands of eye patients. In a statement on Saturday, the ministry said the campaign would run until July 30. According to the statement, a mobile public health team will conduct 400 free cataract surgeries and distribute 1,000 reading glasses to people in need. The ministry added that free medicines would also be provided to between 4,500 and 5,000 eye patients during the campaign. The MoPH urged Ghor residents suffering from eye problems to visit the provincial public health directorate during the campaign period to benefit from the free services.
