Fida, Lootah discuss expanding trade cooperation — Pajhwok

KABUL (Pajhwok): Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) Consul General to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Abdul Rahman Fida and Dubai Chambers President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mohammed Ali Lootah have discussed ways to increase trade, facilitate the transportation of Afghan goods, promote Afghan participation in international exhibitions and strengthen trade and investment cooperation. In a statement, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) said Fida, accompanied by Afghanistan’s commercial attaché in Dubai Ahmad Bilal met Lootah. The ministry said the two sides discussed ways to expand economic cooperation and increase the volume of trade between Afghanistan and Dubai. It added that facilitating the transportation of Afghan goods to Dubai, creating opportunities for Afghan traders to participate in international exhibitions and strengthening cooperation in the trade and investment sectors also came up for discussion. At the end of the meeting, both sides emphasised the need to continue cooperation and agreed to take practical steps to further develop economic and trade relations between Afghanistan and Dubai.
