Tank shell explosion injured 4 children in Panjsher — Pajhwok

PARAKH (Pajhwok): Four children were injured after a tank shell left over from past conflicts exploded in Rokha district of central Panjshir province, police said on Tuesday. Police spokesman Haqmal Saad said the incident occurred at around 4:30pm on Monday in Shast village of Rokha district. He said the children were playing when they dug the tank shell out of the ground. The shell exploded after they mishandled it. Saad said security forces rushed to the scene following the blast and transported the injured children to health facilities for treatment. He described the children’s condition as satisfactory, saying two of them were admitted to the Emergency Hospital in Anaba, while the other two were receiving treatment at Rokha District Hospital.
