4 killed in family clash over water in Baghlan — Pajhwok

PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Four people have been killed in a clash between two families in Talah wa Barfak district of northern Baghlan province, police said on Wednesday. In a statement, the police headquarters said the incident occurred on Tuesday in the Diwalak area of the district following a personal dispute between the two families and a disagreement over access to water for agricultural land. Four people from the two families were killed and another was injured in the clash. Meanwhile, a resident of the area, who did not want to be named, told Pajhwok that five people were killed in a dispute between two tribes over water in Diwalak village of Talah wa Barfak district. He said several others were also injured in the incident, two of whom were in critical condition and were transferred to the provincial hospital.
