KABUL (Pajhwok): HesabPay officials have unveiled a new international online payment card called the “Visa Card,” saying customers can use it to make online purchases and transfer money worldwide. HesabPay is Afghanistan’s first and largest electronic payment and digital wallet platform. Established in Afghanistan in 2021, the financial services platform allows users to manage their financial transactions online through mobile phones without relying on traditional methods or paper-based banking. HesabPay officially launched and unveiled the new international online payment card, the “Visa Card,” on Thursday. Tariq Mujaddidi, a member of HesabPay’s board of directors, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the card had been introduced to make it easier for customers to transfer money online worldwide. He said customers could use the card to make purchases and transfer money in various international markets. Mujaddidi said HesabPay had also signed an agreement with AfghanPAY, an Afghan smart services company, under which customers would be able to transfer money electronically to Türkiye. Meanwhile, Ahmad Khalid Wadan, chief executive officer of HesabPay, said the agreement would enable users to make payments in local currencies without physically transferring cash between the two countries. He said, for example, that if an official connection were established between HesabPay and Türkiye’s financial network, HesabPay users in Türkiye could access Turkish lira and use the country’s local payment systems….
