Polio vaccination drive kicks off in 5 Afghan provinces — Pajhwok

KABUL (Pajhwok): A polio vaccination campaign kicked off in five Afghan provinces on Monday, the Polio-Free Afghanistan Initiative announced. In a statement posted on X, the initiative said the campaign covers Nangarhar, Kunar, Kabul, Herat and Farah provinces. It said the campaign would be conducted in all 22 districts of Nangarhar, seven districts of Kunar, six districts of Kabul, two districts of Herat and two districts of Farah. The organisation added that the campaign aims to respond quickly to recent positive polio cases and prevent the further spread of the virus.
