ACB names 15-member Afghanistan A squad for 2026 Asian Games — Pajhwok

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) on Monday named a 15-member squad for the 2026 Asian Games, scheduled to be held from September 24 to October 3 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. In a statement, the ACB said Darwish Rasooli will captain the squad, which includes several experienced players such as Najibullah Zadran and Karim Janat. The majority of the team, however, consists of young talents who featured in the recently concluded 11th edition of the Shpageeza Cricket League 2026. The 2026 Asian Games are scheduled to be held from September 24 to October 3 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. Afghanistan A have been placed in same Group alongside hosts Japan and Nepal. Squad: Darwish Rasooli (C), Mohammad Ishaq (WK), Mohammad Akram, Hassan Eisakhil, Khalid Taniwal, Imran Mir, Faisal Khan Shinozada, Najibullah Zadran, Farmanullah Safi, Ismat Alam, Karim Janat, Nangyal Kharoti, Arab Gul Momand, Faridoon Dawoodzai and Abdullah Ahmadzai.
