Afghanistan unveil 15-member squad for T20I series against India — Pajhwok

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) on Monday announced a 15-member national squad for the upcoming three-match T20 series against India. In a statement, the ACB said the selection committee had finalised the squad for the series against India. Three reserve players have also been included. The squad includes Ibrahim Zadran as captain, Rahmanullah Gurbaz as wicketkeeper, Sediq Atal, Darwish Rasooli, Azmatullah Omarzai, Gulbadin Naib, Noor Rahman as the second wicketkeeper, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Nangyal Kharoti, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Noor Ahmad Lakanwal, Fazal Haq Farooqi, Naveen-ul-Haq and Abdullah Ahmadzai. The ACB said Shahidullah Kamal, Fareed Ahmad Malik and Ijaz Ahmadzai have been named as reserve players. The three-match T20 series will begin on September 13 and conclude on September 17 in India. Afghanistan will play the first match on September 13, the second on September 15 and the third on September 17.
