KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan’s 12-member national buzkashi team has travelled to Kyrgyzstan to participate in the sixth World Nomad Games 2026. The Afghanistan Olympic, Physical Education and Sports Directorate told Pajhwok Afghan News that the team departed for Kyrgyzstan today (Tuesday). The team comprises 10 chapandaz and a coach and is led by Haji Sarwar Jalal, head of the Buzkashi Federation. The 2026 World Nomad Games are being hosted in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, with athletes from 106 countries participating. The games began on August 31 and will continue until September 7.
