KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) says an illegal factory producing “K” tablets has been discovered and destroyed in Ghanikhel district of eastern Nangarhar province. In a statement posted on X, the ministry said anti-narcotics forces of the Nangarhar Police searched a house in Ghanikhel district during an intelligence operation. The house was allegedly being used as a facility for producing “K” tablets. The ministry said the operation resulted in the seizure of 15,110 “K” tablets, four kilograms of raw materials used in their production, 320 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 400 grams of hashish, 2,500 litres of liquid chemicals, and molds used to manufacture the tablets. The ministry added that the facility was subsequently destroyed. However, the alleged operator was not present at the site when the house was searched. It said efforts to identify and arrest the person responsible for the facility are ongoing.
