KABUL (Pajhwok): At least one person has died and 11 others remain missing after heavy rainfall triggered a landslide in Jiangxi Province, China, a media report said on Saturday. Reuters reported that the incident occurred early Saturday morning in Gaoping Township, Suichuan County, Jiangxi Province. Local officials said heavy rainfall brought by Typhoon Saudel triggered the landslide at around 4am, damaging 12 houses in the area. Officials said the body of one person had been recovered, while 11 others remained missing. China’s state broadcaster CCTV also reported that more than 10 people were trapped following the landslide.
