KABUL (Pajhwok): Three people have been killed and another injured after a helicopter belonging to a US television network crashed and caught fire in Los Angeles, reports said Wednesday. The Associated Press reported that the crash occurred in the Chatsworth area of the San Fernando Valley shortly before 6:30 a.m. Kabul time on Wednesday. The helicopter belonged to NBC4 Los Angeles and had been covering a traffic incident in the area when it crashed, according to the report. The Los Angeles Fire Department said the crash sparked a fire that spread to four vehicles and two containers. More than 50 firefighters were sent to the scene to contain the blaze. The department said one of the victims was found outside a commercial building. It was not immediately clear whether the other two people killed were aboard the helicopter or were on the ground at the time of the crash. Another person was taken to hospital. No immediate details were available about the person’s condition. The AP reported that about two hours before the helicopter crash, a car had collided with a city bus in the same area, killing two people and injuring six others. The NBC4 helicopter had been sent to the area to cover that incident.
