4 arrested for digging up graves in search of gold in Paktika — Pajhwok

SHARANA (Pajhwok): Four people have been arrested for allegedly digging up graves in search of gold in Sharana, the provincial capital of southeastern Paktika, the provincial police headquarters said. In a statement, police said the suspects were arrested at around 9pm on Wednesday while digging up graves in the Maswas area, within the jurisdiction of the first police district in Sharana. Security forces seized an excavator, a pickaxe, a soil-cleaning tool, a vehicle, four mobile phones and several other items from the suspects, the statement added.
