KABUL (Pajhwok): Four pilots have been killed after two Philippine Air Force training aircraft crashed during a flyby rehearsal in Batangas province in the Philippines, a media report said on Saturday. The incident occurred on Friday at Fernando Air Base in Lipa City, Reuters reported, quoting the air force. The report said the two aircraft collided in the air. Both aircraft crashed within the airbase compound. No other casualties were reported apart from the four pilots, according to the report. The Philippine Air Force said it had temporarily suspended all flights involving SF-260 training aircraft while it investigated the cause of the incident. According to the report, two pilots were also killed in May this year when an SF-260 training aircraft crashed in a mountainous area in the northern Philippines. Similarly, two pilots died when another SF-260 TP Marchetti aircraft crashed during a training flight in 2023.
