4-year-old child drowns in Ghazni — Pajhwok

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): A four-year-old child drowned in a water reservoir in Giro district of southern Ghazni province, police said. The Ghazni police headquarters said in a statement that the incident took place on Tuesday in Desi village of Giro district. The statement identified the child as Javid and said he fell into a water reservoir and drowned. Police urged families to pay close attention to their children’s safety around water reservoirs, canals and other potentially dangerous places. The incident comes days after another child drowned in a water reservoir in Usmankhel village of Ajristan district in Ghazni.
