KABUL (Pajhwok): Five people have been killed and three others injured after a landslide struck a residential house in northern China, media reports said. Citing China’s state-run Xinhua news agency, Reuters reported that the incident occurred at 6:49pm on Friday in Haiwei village of Hongtong County, Shanxi Province. The Hongtong County Emergency Management Bureau said all eight people trapped under the debris had been found. Five were confirmed dead, while three injured survivors were taken to hospital. The bureau said the condition of the injured was stable. More than 550 rescue workers, including police officers, firefighters and medical personnel, were deployed to the site. Rescue teams used more than 130 pieces of equipment, including excavators, cranes, drones and life-detection devices, during the search and rescue operation.
