KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) says 638 Afghan migrants were released from Pakistani prisons last week and returned to Afghanistan. In a statement issued on Thursday, the ministry said the migrants had been detained for varying periods due to a lack of valid residency documents. The ministry added that 518 of the returnees entered Afghanistan through the Torkham crossing, while 120 others returned via the Spin Boldak crossing. According to the ministry, the returnees were registered upon arrival, provided with assistance and later transported to their respective areas of origin.
