8 drug factories destroyed, 27 detained in Ghor — Pajhwok

KABUL (Pajhwok): Eight drug production factories have been destroyed, 27 people detained and large quantities of narcotics, 150 motorcycles and other vehicles and equipment seized during a 20-day operation in Pasaband district of western Ghor province, an official said on Tuesday. Police spokesman Mawlawi Abdul Rahman Badri said 127 kilogrammes of a drug known as “F”, 8,500 grammes of processed hashish, 17,020 kilogrammes of dried yama and 2,750 kilogrammes of raw materials used in drug production had also been seized during the operation. He said security forces had also seized 150 motorcycles, two tractors, a Kamaz truck, two Ford vehicles and two mills. He added that the arrested individuals had been referred to court for legal proceedings, while all the seized narcotics had been destroyed by burning.
