KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing (MoUDH) has allocated residential land plots to 985 returnee families in four provinces. In a statement, the ministry said the plots were distributed among returning refugee families in Nangarhar, Farah, Faryab and Nimroz provinces as part of efforts to provide them with permanent housing. According to the statement, 681 families received land plots in Nangarhar, 59 in Farah, 110 in Faryab and 135 in Nimroz on Sunday. The ministry said the land allocation programme aimed to provide permanent settlements and shelter for returnee families. It added that 59,133 families across the country had so far been allocated residential land plots, with the distribution process continuing at an accelerated pace.
