KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 325 Afghans have been released from prisons in Pakistan and returned to Afghanistan this week, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) said on Thursday. In a statement, the ministry said 156 returnees entered Afghanistan through the Torkham crossing, while another 169 returned via Spin Boldak. The returnees included children, families and individuals who had been detained for lacking legal documents and had spent varying periods in Pakistani prisons, the ministry said. It added that the returnees received necessary assistance upon arrival before being transported to their respective home areas.
