GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): A 10-year-old boy was killed and several stalls were destroyed in a fire at the Sang-I-Masha market in Jaghori district of Ghazni province, officials said. The Ghazni police said the fire broke out on Thursday among stalls selling food and non-food items at the market. The boy, identified as Mehdi, was killed in the incident, while six shopkeepers suffered financial losses, the source said. The police said the affected stalls contained diesel, petrol, gas, food and other non-food items. The total financial damage was estimated at around 130,000 afghanis. Initial findings suggest that negligence may have caused the fire, the source said. An investigation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances and cause of the incident.
