KABUL (Pajhwok): The chief of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) is leading a delegation of more than 100 traders, investors and chamber officials on a three-day visit to Uzbekistan to discuss expanding bilateral trade and promoting joint investment. In a statement issued on Tuesday, the ACCI said its chief, Sayed Karim Hashemi, is leading the delegation to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. According to the statement, Hashemi and the accompanying delegation are scheduled to meet the governor and local officials of Uzbekistan’s Syrdarya region and hold talks with Uzbek traders and investors on strengthening trade relations and exploring joint investment opportunities. The delegation will also visit production and manufacturing factories in the Syrdarya region as part of the three-day trip. The statement added that Faiz Ahmad Khawafi, deputy for provincial affairs, and Sakhi Ahmad Norzad and Yahya Pashtun, members of the ACCI board of directors, are also part of the delegation.
