Afghanistan futsal team to face Thailand today — Pajhwok

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan’s national futsal team will face Thailand today (Sunday) in their opening match of the Continental Futsal Championship. The Afghanistan Football Federation said in a statement on its Facebook page that the match will be played in Thailand at 6pm local time. The federation said the Continental Futsal Championship will run from August 1 to 6, with Afghanistan, Vietnam, New Zealand, Russia and Thailand taking part. The match will mark the national team’s first official appearance under new Serbian head coach Dejan Djovik. Afghanistan will be without first-choice goalkeeper Mohammad Jawad Safary for the tournament. Ali Ahmad Mohseni and Ahmad Esmaili will share goalkeeping duties for the national team during the Continental Championship.
