KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan, Iran and Tajikistan have agreed to establish a trilateral land transport corridor, which could enable the transit and transportation of goods from the three countries through Afghanistan to other destinations. In a statement, the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation said that Yar Mohammad Ramadan, head of the ministry’s Department of Land Transport Laws and Agreements, attended a trilateral meeting between Afghanistan, Iran and Tajikistan along with a delegation. The meeting was held in Mashhad, Iran, to expand transit cooperation and strengthen transport links among the three countries. Discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in the land transport sector and addressing other related issues. The ministry said the participants agreed to establish the trilateral corridor, under which commercial goods from Iran and Tajikistan could be transported through Afghanistan to other countries.
