KABUL (Pajhwok): The World Food Programme (WFP) has said that while there have been fragile improvements in Gaza’s food security situation, the humanitarian crisis remains ongoing. The agency stressed that sustained humanitarian access, adequate funding, and stability are crucial to preventing further deterioration. In a post on its X account, the WFP said humanitarian assistance continues to serve as a lifeline for the people of Gaza. The agency added that approximately 1.5 million people in Gaza receive food and nutrition assistance from the WFP every month. The WFP emphasized that despite some improvements in food security, the progress remains fragile and the crisis is far from over. The organization noted that lasting improvements will depend on continued humanitarian access, sufficient funding, and the restoration of stability.
