Gold prices slightly decline in Kabul — Pajhwok

KABUL (Pajhwok): Gold prices have slightly declined while prices of other essential commodities remained unchanged in Kabul over the past week, market sources said on Saturday. Hikmatullah Muhammadi, an employee at a fuel station in Wazirabad area of Kabul, told Pajhwok Afghan News that petrol sold at 80 afs and diesel at 75 afs per litre today, unchanged from a week ago. Mohammad Jan Amin, a shopkeeper in Deh-i-Bagh area of Kabul, said one kilogram of liquefied gas sold at 67 afs, the same as last Saturday. Zamari Safi, head of the Kabul Food Traders Union, said 49kg of Indian sugar sold for 2,650 afs, 49kg of Kazakh flour for 1,600 afs, 24kg of Indian rice for 2,500 afs, 16 litres of Malaysian oil for 2,000 afs, one kilogram of African black tea for 380 afs and one kilogram of Indonesian green tea for 350 afs. All prices remained unchanged from a week ago. Retail prices of some food items differ slightly from wholesale prices, while larger differences are seen in some cases. Hamid Sufizada, a Kabul food retailer, said 49kg of Kazakh flour sold for 1,650 afs, 24kg of Indian rice for 2,550 afs, 49kg of Indian sugar for 2,700 afs, 16 litres of Malaysian oil for 2,050 afs, one kilogram of Indonesian green tea for 400 afs and…
