Heavy rain, flash floods forecast in 5 provinces — Pajhwok

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation on Saturday warned of the possibility of rainfall, thunderstorms and sudden flash floods in five provinces of the country. The ministry said in a post on its X account that heavy rain, thunderstorms and flash floods are expected tomorrow in Nuristan, Kunar, Laghman, Nangarhar and Khost provinces. It added that rainfall amounts in different areas are forecast to range between 10 and 25 millimetres. The ministry also warned of strong winds in the central, eastern, southeastern and western regions, with wind speeds expected to reach between 50 and 90 kilometres per hour in some areas.
