KABUL (Pajhwok): The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) has made new appointments in the Supreme Court, the Central Darul Ifta, the Ministry of Finance (MoF), the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum (MoMP) and several other government institutions, an official announced on Thursday. In a post on X, IEA chief spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said the appointments were made under a decree issued by the supreme leader of the Islamic Emirate. He said former head of the Kandahar Zone Military Court Mawlawi Mohammad Gul Sayed had been appointed deputy military chief justice of the Supreme Court. Former deputy military chief justice Sheikh Sardar Mohammad Abdul Faizan has been appointed director-general of the Central Darul Ifta, while former director-general of the Central Darul Ifta Sheikh Khair Jan Khairkhwa has been named deputy minister for military affairs at the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice and Hearing of Complaints, according to Mujahid. He added former technical and professional deputy head of the General Directorate of Municipal Affairs Haji Niamatullah Hassan had been appointed deputy minister for revenue and customs at the Ministry of Finance.
