KABUL (Pajhwok): The Indian government has announced 1,000 online scholarships for Afghan students for the 2026–27 academic year under the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). In a statement, the ICCR said the scholarships would be offered through the e-VidyaBharati (e-VB) programme on the i-Learn portal, enabling Afghan students to pursue online undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in management, commerce, computer science, arts and other disciplines at recognised Indian universities. The council said the scholarships would be available from 15 July 2026, with applications accepted until 24 July 2026. According to the statement, the programme covers full tuition, registration and examination fees, as well as the cost of degree certificates. Scholarship recipients will also receive online access to study materials, recorded lectures and examinations throughout their courses.
