KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior says it has arrested a man in eastern Nangarhar province on charges of stealing more than three million Pakistani rupees and 100,000 afghanis from a moneychanger. In a statement, the ministry said that forces from the First Police District of Jalalabad city arrested an armed suspect during an intelligence operation in connection with the theft of three million and 250,000 Pakistani rupees and 100,000 afghanis. According to the ministry, the suspect had followed a moneychanger in the Behsood Bridge area of Jalalabad city before allegedly using a pistol to rob him of the money. The ministry added that the arrested man has confessed to the crime and that his case will be referred to judicial authorities after the completion of preliminary investigations.
