More than 11 tonnes of drugs, intoxicants destroyed in Ghor — Pajhwok

FIROZKOH (Pajhwok): Security officials in western Ghor say more than 11 tonnes of drugs and intoxicating substances collected from different parts of the province have been burned and destroyed. Mawlavi Abdul Rahman Badri, spokesman for the Ghor police, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the substances had been seized by counter-narcotics forces in various parts of the province. He said the destroyed substances included 675.3 kilograms of “F”, 104kg of opium, 44 litres of alcohol, 9,200kg of hashish, 180kg of acid and 1,500kg of yaba. Badri added that the substances were burned and destroyed in the presence of several local Ghor officials. Counter-narcotics officials at the Ghor police headquarters urged people to cooperate with security forces in the fight against drugs and prevent their spread.
