KABUL (Pajhwok): Ukraine is ready to reach an agreement to stop attacks on critical infrastructure, provided its partners guarantee that Russia will also refrain from targeting Ukraine’s energy facilities, other critical infrastructure and food supply routes, the Ukrainian president says. Reuters reported that Volodymyr Zelenskyy made the remarks in a message on Telegram on Monday. It said Zelenskyy’s comments indicate that Ukraine has not officially confirmed US President Donald Trump’s claim that Russia and Ukraine had agreed not to target each other’s energy facilities. Zelenskyy said Ukraine was not certain that Russia would remain committed to such an agreement. He added that the war must end and that reducing violence against critical infrastructure could be the first step towards peace.
