Young man drowns in Ghazni — Pajhwok

KABUL (Pajhwok): A young man has drowned while fishing in a river in Ajristan district of central Ghazni province, police said on Tuesday. In a statement, the police headquarters said the incident took place in the Langarkhel area of the district on Tuesday. It said the young man was attempting to catch fish in the river using electricity generated by a generator when he drowned. The statement added that security forces reached the area after receiving a report of the incident, recovered the body of the 24-year-old man, identified as Ahmad Shah, and handed it over to his family. A woman and her husband also drowned in a water reservoir in Jaghori district of the same province on Monday, the statement concluded.
