11 killed, 3 wounded in South Africa party shooting — Pajhwok

KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 11 people have been killed and three others wounded in a shooting at a party in the South African city of Durban, a media report said on Wednesday. The incident took place late on Tuesday night at a house in the KwaMakhutha area, around 30 kilometres south of Durban on South Africa’s east coast, The Associated Press reported. Police said three armed men entered the house where a number of people had gathered for a party and opened fire on those present. They said 10 people, including a woman believed to be pregnant, were killed at the scene, while another person died after being taken to hospital. Police did not provide details about the condition of the three wounded people, saying efforts to identify and arrest the attackers were continuing and no one had so far been arrested. Police officials said the motive for the shooting was not yet known.
