247 complete vocational training programmes in Kabul — Pajhwok
Kabul (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MoLSA) has announced that 247 trainees graduated after successfully completing a six-month vocational and technical training programme in Kabul. The graduates also received work tools to help them begin their careers. In a statement shared on its X platform, the ministry said the trainees completed both theoretical and practical training at the Vocational Training Centre for Vulnerable Groups before being awarded graduation certificates. The graduates received training in several fields, including building electrical installation, refrigerator and air-conditioner repair, electrical appliance repair, tailoring, and mobile phone repair. Mawlavi Abdul Wahid Faiz, head of the ministry’s Directorate for Regulation of Vocational and Technical Training Centres, said the Islamic Emirate was working to expand market-oriented vocational training programmes aimed at creating employment opportunities and reducing unemployment in the country. He encouraged the graduates to effectively use the skills and experience they had gained to support their families and contribute to addressing unemployment. The ministry also quoted Yama Firoozi, head of the Japan UNESCO Association, as thanking MoLSA for its cooperation and reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to continuing support for the development of vocational and technical education. According to the statement, work tools were distributed to the graduates at the end of the programme with financial support from the Japan UNESCO Association.
